CHARACTERISTICS
  • Full 4-quadrant, 1000 watt,source-sink operation.
  • Energy recuperation, during sink-mode, through a bi-directional PFC circuit.
  • Meets the EN61000-3-2 harmonic limits.
  • High efficiency switch-mode operation.
  • Output voltage from ±10V to ±100V.
  • Full digital control with built-in standard GPIB and RS 232 interface. Understands SCPI and IEEE 488.2; VISA driver provided.
  • Analog control available via external reference.
  • Waveform Support. Able to produce standard sine, square, ramp or triangle outputs as well as user-specified non-standard waveforms.
  • Transient Support. Can be programmed via the GPIB or RS 232 interfaces to create a transient, changing the output for a fixed period and then returning to the original state.
  • Quick Setup. 99 setups can be stored and recalled; each setup includes operating mode, output on/off, main channel reference type and value, and protection reference type and value.
  • Large graphic LCD, displays settings and actual output.
  • Keypad control from front panel with menu to access functions.
  • Calibration adjustments are made either locally with the keypad or remotely through the GPBI or RS 232 interfaces, and are stored in non-volatile memory. Calibration is password protected.
  • CE; Complies with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC and the Marking and Declaration Directive 93/28/EEC and the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC.
WAVEFORM SUPPORT. The BOP High Power models have an integral function generator with the capability to make the output follow complex waveforms. These may be controlled either from the front panel or through the digital programming interfaces (GPIB or RS 232). Each waveform consists of up to 10 segments; each segment is assigned one of six basic waveform types: square, sine, triangle, negative ramp, positive ramp and level. Depending on the waveform type, frequency, peak-to-peak amplitude, offset, and start and stop phase angle are then assigned by the user. Segments at the beginning of the waveform can be programmed to be executed only once, or to be repeated as specified by the count. A graphic representation on the LCD shows the waveform as segments are added and is displayed prior to, and during, execution. This feature provides unique versatility for generating a waveform that meets user requirements.

Waveforms may be repeated from 1 to 255 times or allowed to run continuously.

Further versatility is offered by using the LIST commands to construct unusual waveforms, step by step, via the interface by establishing the points in the waveform, as well as establishing the individual dwell times for each step.

The waveform can be enabled via the interface to be executed upon program command.

QUICK SET-UP. The High Power BOP provides for quick changes from one set of conditions to another through the saved setup support. This capability provides a total 99 locations for both the front panel user and the interface controller to save a setting into memory and to quickly recall the state to the BOP. A saved setup maintains operating mode, output on/off, main channel reference type and value, and protection reference type and value. From the front panel depressing a few keys can change the unit from one setup to another. From the front panel the user can use the arrow keys or enter the specific number of the saved setup on the keypad. The display shows the list of the saved setups, including the mode of operation with main channel and protection channel settings.
